SENIOR iOS DEVELOPER

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner facing new products, platforms and features.
  • build re-usable iOS software components for the Lozi platform.
  • collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) as well as other automated and manual testing to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
  • monitor the performance of the live apps and continuously improve them on both code and experience level.
  • raise the bar by reviewing each other’s code, share knowledge, tips and tricks, and generally help out – within and across teams. * * This may include pair programming.
  • evaluate new mobile methodologies and technologies + a natural problem solver and leader.
  • deeply concerned with product and code quality
  • experienced at leading and serving as a resource to a team of developers (code reviews, managing deadlines).
  • comfortable interacting directly with clients and conveying technical concepts clearly via non-technical language.

Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate

  • extensive iOS app experience (Must have 2+ years full time.)
  • has extensive knowledge of core Computer Science concepts, including Object-Oriented programming, multi-threading, MVC/MVVM, etc.
  • has significant experience architecting and designing applications
  • has experience using source control and bug tracking software such as Git and Jira or Trello.
  • leverages industry best practices for quality code, including unit tests, automated UI tests, API stubs/mocks, etc.
  • has profound and broad knowledge of the iOS SDK
  • cares about producing responsive, beautiful UIs and keeps abreast the latest UIKit components and practices
  • is experienced with a wide breadth of data storage techniques, including Core Data, Sqlite, NSCoding serialization, iCloud, etc.
  • understands API interactions from end-to-end, particularly with RESTful APIs.

Additionally, the candidate should be

  • a natural problem solver and leader.
